Hasagawa

Mrs. Lynne Hasagawa is a short, elderly, kind, and sometimes forgetful fruit vendor in the Lilo & Stitch franchise. She is voiced by Amy Hill and then by Grey DeLisle for "Stitch and Experiments".

Bio[]

Mrs. Hasagawa is a little old lady who owns a fruit stand. She is short and has glasses and grey hair.

Lilo & Stitch[]

In the film, Mrs. Hasagawa is pursued by Nani for a job at her fruit stand. However, Mrs. Hasagawa does not understand Nani and it takes a few times for Nani to remind Mrs. Hasagawa of her ad in the paper. Nearby, a hula practice between Lilo with Stitch sends the alien twirling into Mrs. Hasagawa. They collide into the fruit stands and Mrs. Hasagawa gets a watermelon stuck on her head with Stitch poking out on top.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series[]

Mrs. Hasagawa makes a few appearances in the series. In "Mrs. Hasagawa's Cats", it is revealed that she keeps many experiments, thinking that they are cats. Most of these experiments are activated when Mrs. Hasagawa mistakes their pods for apricots and washes them to eat.

In "Checkers", she is called a troublemaker by Mertle, Elena, Teresa, and Yuki when Lilo was temporarily their queen.

In the crossover episode with American Dragon: Jake Long, Lao Shi falls in love with her, though they regretfully depart at the end of the episode.

In the "Stitch and Experiments" episode "Mrs Hasagawa We Hardly Knew Ye" she passed away due to a heart attack and in her will she admitted that she never really had any family so she gave David her job, Nani her fortune (of $275 million) Mertle her house and Lilo and Stitch her experiments much to the delight of Stitch.

Leroy & Stitch[]

In the film, it is revealed that Mrs. Hasagawa has yet another experiment under her care, a cloud-like experiment that helps her at work by watering her fruit at the stand.

Experiments[]

Mrs. Hasagawa owns a large number of experiments whom she took in, thinking they were cats. Most of these experiments were activated when Mrs. Hasagawa mistook their pods for apricots and washed them to eat. They include:

Once she died, the experiments were now in the care of Lilo and Stitch once she found out the whole thing weeks before her death.

Trivia[]

  • Stitch mispronounces her name as "Hasagasawa".
  • Aside from Hocker, the experiments under her care are not life-threatening, and most are only designed to frustrate their targets with mild inconveniences.
  • It is unknown if she, being the caretaker of several alien life forms, is under the official protection of the United Galactic Federation as Lilo and Nani are.
