Leroy & Stitch is a 2006 animated television film. It is the fourth film in the franchise, the grand finale to Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and the franchise's final installment until the debut of the anime Stitch! in 2008.

Plot[]

with a game of charades with Stu and Howard playing against Didi and Betty. Stu is acting like a wolf while Howard has a difficult time guessing what Stu is supposed to be. Howard is finally able to figure out that Stu is a wolf when he howls (Didi yells at Stu for cheating, but Betty tells her not to sweat because time is nearly up). Next, Stu begins to dance with an imaginary partner while Howard guesses random phrases like "Wolf Trot," "Skip to My Wolf," and "Stepping on Wolves," (Howard thinks the answer is "Steppenwolf").

Time runs out, and Betty gives the correct answer: Dances with Wolves. Howard admits that he never saw the film and thought it was a musical. Stu argues with him about the film and then about the team-up. Howard says that he doesn't have to be insulted, and storms out of the Pickles' house. Didi and Betty laugh at the mens' reactions, but when Didi playfully insults Howard's intelligence, Betty takes offense, and the two also end up arguing before Betty leaves for home in a huff with the DeVille twins.

Later, Stu is building up the fence to keep the DeVilles away, with Tommy and Chuckie confused about this turn of events. As they watch, Didi hands a bunch of gardening equipment to Chas and demands that he ask Betty to return the recipe cards she borrowed from Didi. Tommy realizes he won't be allowed to play with Phil and Lil anymore, and he and Chuckie become sad and try to do something about it.

Tommy notices the telephone (what the babies call the "Hello-phone") and tries to call the DeVilles, randomly pressing buttons in the process. They wind up calling a teenage girl (who believes them to be a boy she has a crush on) and a radio station (who declares them to be contest winners) before finally hitting Betty's speed dial button. Didi takes the phone away from the babies before they could talk to Betty, asking what the two were doing; Betty, on the other end, thinks Didi is talking to her. Before Betty can answer, Didi hangs up without realizing Betty was on the other line. Angrier then before, Betty calls Didi back and says her call was really immature before hanging up herself, further infuriating Didi.

Tommy and Chuckie try to come up with another idea to get the grown-ups to make up and decide on presents (because Tommy says that after his parents fight, Stu brings Didi a present in order to make up with her). Tommy and Chuckie fetch Didi's favorite earrings and head back downstairs to the playpen. When Chas returns with the recipe cards, he tells Didi she needs to return the Ultimate Aerobics workout video she borrowed from Betty. Didi gives Chas the tape and demands her sampler pack back from the DeVilles. Chas decides to take Chuckie with him so he can spend some time with Phil and Lil now.

While at the DeVilles' house, Chuckie gives the earrings to Phil and Lil and explains his and Tommy's plan. The twins think it's a great idea and put the earrings in the kitchen before leading Chuckie to their parent's room to find a gift of their own. Meanwhile, Betty hands Chas the sampler pack, which has been in her refrigerator since 1976 (she remarks that it still smells like the Bicentennial Party). In their parent's bedroom, Phil and Lil gave Chuckie Howard's watch, which the twins call a "time" (explaining that grown-ups look at them and exclaim "look at the time!").

Back in the kitchen, Chas tries to reason with Betty about ending the feud. Betty says she'll forgive the Pickles...if they grovel at her and Howard's feet. Chas sighs and takes Chuckie with him back to the Pickles' house. While Betty drinks some coffee, she notices the earrings and believes that Howard has given them to her for their anniversary. Howard nervously giggles, saying that he always remembers their anniversary now after what happened the year before In their parent's bedroom, Phil and Lil gave Chuckie Howard's watch, which the twins call a "time" (explaining that grown-ups look at them and exclaim "look at the time!"). into Jumba's lab and force Jumba to create an evil twin of Stitch, Leroy, to defeat the Galactic Alliance. Stitch arrives and after a fight, he is defeated when Pleakley appears at an inopportune moment, distracting Stitch long enough for Leroy to lock him in a glass capsule. Hämsterviel reveals his plans to clone an army of Leroys to take over the Galactic Alliance. Before leaving for Turo, Hämsterviel locks Jumba, Pleakley and Stitch in Pleakley's ship, and sends the vessel into a black hole.

Back at the Pickles' house, Didi smells the contents of the sampler pack, asking if Betty kept rotting fish sticks in there. Chas tries to reason with Didi and Stu about ending the fight. Stu says all will be forgiven...if the DeVilles erect a 20-foot sign on their front lawn that proclaims their house to be "home of the fatheads." Tommy and Chuckie put the watch on Stu's favorite chair, hoping their plan works. When Stu comes into the room, he notices the watch and believes it belongs to his dad. He puts it on and heads back to the yard to reinforce the fence. Tommy and Chuckie are sad that their plan didn't work, but are out of ideas on Earth, Lilo decides to contact Stitch. Lilo realizes that the only intergalactic videophone on the planet available is in Gantu's ship. There, she finds 625 and asks to use the videophone. However, 625 says it is broken. Lilo then names 625 "Reuben". He thereafter consents to help Lilo. Once the videophone is fixed, Lilo contacts the BRB-9000. Leroy impersonates Stitch, using shape-shifting to disguise himself, but fails because he does not have Stitch's tiki necklace. Hämsterviel then commands Leroy to go to Earth and capture all of the other experiments to destroy them. Lilo, sensing Stitch is in trouble, asks Reuben for help in fixing Gantu's ship. As Jumba, Pleakley, and Stitch head towards the black hole, Stitch escapes and frees the others. However, the navigational computer is locked on course for the black hole and will teleport them to a volcanic planet where they will be vaporized, but if they can disrupt the event horizon by throwing a small object into the black hole, it will send them somewhere else. Pleakley pulls out the rock that Lilo gave him and asks if this will work. After Jumba says it is too heavy, Stitch takes a bite out of it, then crawls out the front of the vehicle and throws it at the black hole. There is a flash and the vehicle is sucked in.

On Earth, a Leroy clone obtains Lilo's scrapbook of "cousins" and quickly captures all of 624000 List of Experiments Sometime later at the park, the Pickles (with Chas) and DeVilles cross paths while taking their kids to play. Although the two families intend to ignore each other, they notice their belongings and accuse each other of stealing. As the fight escalates to new heights, the babies decide to run away to a place where they can play together again, someplace where everyone lives in peace. Tommy decides that the place is near a trash can and Leroy Clone catch Babies and Zoo animals. Lilo and Reuben arrive at Turo, but they are too late; Hämsterviel has taken over, making the Grand Councilwoman his receptionist, and orders Gantu to lock them up. Gantu imprisons Lilo and Reuben, but decides to release them after Hämsterviel fires him. After a close call with several Leroy clones, they are trapped. All is lost until the G.A.C.C. van suddenly appears. With no time to explain, Lilo, Reuben and Gantu all climb in and head for Earth. On Earth, the original Leroy has herded all the experiments and animals into a large stadium where "Alohapalooza" will take place. The BRB-9000 appears and Hämsterviel prepares to obliterate all of the experiments, until a timely appearance by Lilo, Stitch and the others and destroy the BRB's primary cannon. Hämsterviel reveals that he brought along his Leroy army as backup. Stitch rallies his "cousins" and the battle begins. Despite some initial victories by the experiments and animals, it soon becomes apparent that the adversaries are better than them. As the arguing continues, Chas suddenly notices that the kids are gone, and calls this to everyone's attention. Both sides start to blame each other for losing the babies. Chas has finally had it with the argument and tells all of them off, pointing out that it's both side's faults because they were so focused on insults, grudges, and years worth of minor fights and disagreements that they forgot about the most important thing in their lives: their children.

Finally remorseful over what they've done, they decide to split up and find the kids. Howard tries to open up a restroom but has trouble opening the door; Didi unlocks the door for him, and they search inside, with no sign of the kids. Stu tries to look around the park from up in a tree but has difficulty climbing it. Betty gives him a leg up, and Stu notices the kids and Experiments fight near Leroys in a trash can. Stu calls out that they're over by the trash can, and everybody rushes over (Didi frets about potential broken glass along the way). Everybody reunites with their kids and agree to finally make up. Everybody apologizes, and Stu even says that he would be honored to have Howard as a partner in their next game together Jumba remembers that he programmed a secret shutdown command into Leroy: If he plays Elvis Presley's "Aloha ʻOe", the others will deactivate. Stitch appears on-stage in his Elvis attire and plays "Aloha ʻOe" with Lilo and Reuben accompanying him, causing the Leroys to have violent seizures and shut down. With his plan foiled (again), Hämsterviel is recaptured.

Back at the Galactic Alliance HQ, they are proclaimed "Heroes of the Alliance." Stitch, Jumba and Pleakley ask to be allowed to return to Earth with Lilo. The Grand Councilwoman grants this and asks Gantu if he would like to be reinstated as the Captain of the Armada. Gantu agrees on the condition that Reuben be assigned as his galley officer. Back on Earth, Lilo sets up for one last picture. Mertle arrives with Gigi (during the battle, Mertle was with Gigi and was astounded when she found that Gigi could talk, being one of Jumba's experiments). Lilo's last picture in the album is of all of the experiments still on Earth, Mertle, Jumba, Pleakley, Betty, Stu, Didi, Chas, Howard, Tommy, Chuckle, Phil, Lil and herself. Meanwhile, Hämsterviel is sent back to prison along with Leroy and all of his clones, who have recovered from their seizures, and are dancing to the song "Jailhouse Rock". As the credits roll, a full list of Jumba's experiments 001 through 626, and the names they were given by Lilo (and other characters in some instances during Lilo & Stitch: The Series), scrolls along the left side of the screen.

Trivia[]

  • This is the second film in the Lilo & Stitch franchise to have been designated a G rating from the MPAA after Stitch! The Movie.
  • When Stitch, currently captain of the B.R.B. 9000, rendezvouses with the Grand Councilwoman, she points out that he has coconut cake on his uniform, hinting that Stitch had brought some coconut cake with him on his journey prior to leaving Earth.
  • The coordinates for the black hole are "[1]", which is a reference to the release date of the film The Black Hole (December 21, 1979).
  • A mildly humorous running gag features Dr. Hämsterviel and Gantu lecturing each other on the nature of rhetorical questions.
  • According to Hämsterviel, ever since Gantu worked for him, he failed for three years trying to catch an experiment, referencing the events of the show Lilo & Stitch: The Series being released in 2003 and ending in 2006, as well as the movie itself.
  • In one shot of the crowd of experiments at the stadium, The Lion King's Timon and Pumbaa can be briefly seen standing in the crowd.
  • Cannonball and Gigi have powers that were never used in the series: Cannonball having the ability to roll into a ball in midair, and Gigi having the ability to talk.
  • David Kawena only appears at the very end of the movie, making this his only non-speaking role in the Lilo & Stitch franchise.
    • This also marks David's final appearance in the franchise.
  • The film's end credits reveal all 626 experiments, beginning from 001 (Shrink) all the way up to 626 (Stitch), scrolled upwards in the same direction as the end credits on the right of the screen. However, experiments 627, 628 and 629 are notably left out of this experiments list for reasons unknown.
    • Experiment 000 (Cyber) is not mentioned in this experiments list either, as he has not appeared yet in the franchise and is created exclusively for the Stitch! anime.
    • Though 627 does not physically appear in this film, nor is he mentioned in the experiments list in the film's end credits, he is mentioned by Jumba and Gantu in one scene of this film.

Goofs[]

  • For reasons unknown, Shrink, Kernel, Gotchu, Poki, Forehead, Frenchfry, Zawp, Mary, Skip, Stamen, Mulch, Squeak, Fudgy, Snafu, Bugby, Nosox, Retro, Poxy, Shush, Belle, Sproing, Ace, Wishy-Washy, Tickle-Tummy, Lax, Morpholomew, Heckler, Manners, Ploot, Huggo, Wrapper, Digger, Blowhard, Derrick, Woops, Sinker, Zap, and Reuben do not appear in the group photo.
  • There are many duplicates or recolors and slight edits of existing experiments seen during the battle, along with some that aren't experiments at all. Viewers can see multiple orange replicas of Angel, duplicates of Nosox, Dupe, Yaarp, Hunkahunka, Digger, many different colored replicas of Cannonball, Snooty, Kernel, Nosy, Slick, a blue Deforestator and many others. It is possible that with the film's small production budgets, it would be too complicated to design them individually, so they did that.
  • When a Leroy clone is capturing the experiments, Drowsy and Backhoe are both the same shape when they're blasted into nets. Also, their feet disappear instead of leaving the ground as the net traps them into it.
  • Cannonball doesn't hold on to his feet when bouncing on his butt.
  • Tickle-Tummy was somehow forgotten to be added on the list of experiments at the end credits, and most fans thought Tickle-Tummy was 628, but Tickle-Tummy is actually 275.
  • Fudgy's number was originally "119", but somehow it changed to "054" on the list of experiments.
  • Stopgo's number was originally "239", but somehow it changed to "102" on the list of experiments.
  • Just like with Stitch! The Movie, Lilo's muumuu appears to be colored differently on this film's VHS and DVD covers compared to in the final film. On the film's VHS and DVD covers, Lilo's muumuu is colored yellow with the Hawaiian leaves colored green, while in the actual film, Lilo's muumuu is colored red with the Hawaiian leaves colored white, just like in the other films.
