created for

to annoy Jumba's neighbours with her constant yapping

Rightful place

with Mertle

Physical Appearance

She is a white Shih Tzu-like experiment with a purple bow.

Primary Function

Designed to annoy people with her constant barking. She behaves like a typical "good dog": does tricks, licks her owner's face, fetches the morning paper, etc.

  1. Lilo & Stitch: The Series: Season 1: Episode 8 (as the primary new cousin)
  2. Leroy and Stitch (at the stadium after being captured by Leroy)
  3. Stitch and Experiments (various episodes)

In Leroy and Stitch, it is revealed that she can speak English very well. Gigi's voice consists of two actors, Frank Welker (vocal noises) and Tress MacNeille (speaking voice). For "Stitch and Experiments" Cristina Pucelli took on both her vocal noises and her speaking voice.

One True Place

Her one true place is with Mertle, as her pet. At the end of the movie, Mertle joins Lilo and Stitch's Ohana because Gigi says she wants to be in it with the rest of Jumba's experiments.

For "Stitch and Experiments" she is still with Mertle and she accepts it. She is still acting like a dog, often enjoying walks, fetching the paper, chewing bones and being loyal to Mertle. In the episode "Gigi's Living Color", she has worries about being colorblind after a visit to the vet by Susan Hegarty. She then realizes that A, she's not really a dog and B, she can see in full color putting on a show with her fellow cousins about the colors in the rainbow and later ending it with a performance of Michael Jackson's "Black or White".

  • Because of her appearance and behavior, 007 was adopted by Mertle and wasn't recognized as an experiment until Jumba saw her. Her episode is named "Yapper" after the nickname Lilo gave her, but she is officially "Gigi" on the experiment name list in Leroy & Stitch.
